Omnibus Watch: Affront to School Choice

Sen. Inhofe is a strong believer in the virtue of school choice and has supported programs to expand options for parents of low-income students to choose a school that is best for their child. Many are questioning why Democrats in Congress, through a provision in the Omnibus, are trying to kill the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program which has been praised by the Heritage Foundation and many others for being “highly successful” in providing the chance for thousands of students in a failing public school system to get a safer and higher- quality education.
