U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) applauded President Trump’s action today to provide short-term relief to support agricultural communities.
“Our farmers and ranchers understand the need to negotiate trade agreements that ensure American producers, consumers, and workers are treated fairly. Strong trade agreements must provide our farmers and ranchers with access to international markets to sell their high-quality products on an even playing field. As this Administration continues to negotiate the best long-term agreements for America, our farmers and ranchers should not have to pay the price. President Trump is doing the right thing by providing short-term relief to support agricultural communities who have been disproportionally affected by abusive and unfair tariffs imposed by China and other nations.”
