WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, today praised Senate confirmation of Neil Chatterjee and Rob Powelson to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
“Neil Chatterjee and Rob Powelson will bring strong, pro-energy perspectives to FERC,” Inhofe said. “Neil is a good friend of mine and I have seen first-hand his robust knowledge of energy issues and I am confident that Rob is a strong and qualified pick as well. Their confirmation restores a quorum to FERC, allowing this important agency to finalize major decisions for the first time since early February. This gap has left over $14 billion in pipeline and infrastructure projects in limbo, hurting industry and consumers. I look forward to acting on President Trump’s other FERC nominees.”
