Inhofe Applauds Supreme Court Decision to Protect Religious Liberty and Promote School Choice

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) applauded the Supreme Court today after their ruling in the case Espinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue. The court decided that Montana’s exclusion of religious schools from a tax-credit scholarship program funded by private dollar donations violates the Constitution.

“I am glad to see the Supreme Court choose to uphold the Constitution and protect religious liberty and school choice today,” Inhofe said. “Religious freedom is a basic human right and no student should be discriminated against for where he or she attends school. With this decision, parents will have the freedom to send their children to religious institutions if they so choose without worry that they will not be eligible for funding otherwise available.”
