U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) praised the commissioning of the USS Tulsa today. The USS Tulsa is the second naval vessel to honor a city in Oklahoma. The ship integrates new technology and capability to support current and future mission capability from deep water to the littorals.
“I am incredibly proud the USS Tulsa, the namesake of my hometown, has officially been commissioned today in San Francisco,” Inhofe said. “The renewed investment in our military is being seen throughout the branches and the commissioning of the USS Tulsa is just one more reminder of the work being done to rebuild our military. I want to congratulate the crew and look forward to visiting her soon.”
