Inhofe Commends Participants of March for Life

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), co-chair of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption, released the following statement commending the thousands gathering today at the nation’s capital for the March for Life:

“Today as thousands of people march in Washington, we are reminded that abortion is not the answer. As co-chair of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption, I believe that adoption is the best alternative to abortion and further recognizes the sanctity of human life. Our nation was founded on the rights of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,’ yet we have ended more than 57 million American lives in the 42 years since Roe v. Wade. Liberal policies and the abortion mantra of a woman's right to choose have cost us the unknown potential of these lives robbed in their most vulnerable state. I stand with the marchers today as we continue the fight for the basic right to life, and together we can continue to reverse the trend set into motion by Roe v. Wade.”
