U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, made the following statement after the U.S. Army appointed Jill Castilla as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army during an Investiture Ceremony last week:
“Jill Castilla is a superb choice for Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army and I congratulate her on her appointment. With her experience serving in the U.S. Army and Oklahoma National Guard coupled with her time spent working hard for Oklahomans as President, CEO and Vice Chairman of Citizens Bank of Edmond, I have no doubt Jill will continue to excel in this role. Not only does she understand Oklahoma and the Army through her own distinguished service, but both her husband and son are Army officers as well, giving her a deeper understanding of what it means to be an Army family. I look forward to working with her in this new position to support military families.”
Jill previously served in the U.S. Army and Oklahoma Army National Guard as a construction and civil engineer, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in various management positions and with a community bank in Minnesota as senior vice president in finance. At Citizens Bank of Edmond, she’s served in the positions of chief credit officer, chief operating officer, chief financial officer and her current position of president and chief executive officer. Her academic background includes a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oklahoma and a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Graduate School of Banking. Jill is a distinguished alumna of Hawaii Pacific University.
