WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a leading Senate conservative, today congratulated U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) on the announcement that DeMint will be the new president of The Heritage Foundation, replacing long-time president Ed Feulner:

“Jim DeMint has fought side-by-side with me on many issues here in the Senate.  He has been a leading conservative voice and is consistent in his principles of protecting American values.  Under Ed Feulner’s leadership, The Heritage Foundation has grown into the foremost conservative think-tank, pursuing conservative principles and answers to the challenges that America faces.  The Heritage Foundation’s thoughtful insight, quality research, and issue leadership has made a positive difference for our country.  I congratulate Jim on his pending move to lead this fine organization, I wish him all the best, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in this new role.”
