WASHINGTON— U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), member of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption, today encouraged Oklahomans to nominate by April 22 a friend, family or organization to the Angels in Adoption program who have made a difference in the lives of children by giving them a loving home, whether through adoption or fostering. The Angels in Adoption program is supported by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) and gives Members of Congress the chance to celebrate individuals, couples and organizations that have made a difference in the lives of children in need of a family.
Inhofe will work with CCAI to select a nominee from Oklahoma to be recognized at the Angels in Adoption gala on Sept. 16 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
“I have the great honor of being involved with the Angels in Adoption program, which highlights Oklahomans each year who have opened their hearts and given their resources to children in need of a family. I encourage Oklahomans to submit by April 22 the stories of families or organizations that should be recognized for their loving commitment to give a permanent and safe home to children. By celebrating these stories, we are helping to champion adoption and further raise awareness to the millions still in need of a loving home,” Inhofe said.
