WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Club for Growth awarded U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) with a perfect voting record, naming him a Defender of Economic Freedom. This award is presented annually to Members of Congress who consistently hold a responsible pro-economic voting record.
“I am honored to receive the Defender of Economic Freedom Award by the Club for Growth,” said Inhofe. “During this trying economic time, we must end the bailouts, government take-overs, and massive increases in deficit spending. Instead, we should pursue free market principles that spur economic growth through better job creation.”
President of the Club for Growth Chris Chocola, “With his score of 100 percent, Senator Inhofe has demonstrated a clear commitment to economic liberty and growth. During one of the toughest economic years in memory, he showed that the principles of free enterprise and free markets are the only way to create jobs and rescue our economy.”
