WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), today received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Spirit of Enterprise” award for his support of pro-business issues during the second session of the 112th Congress.
“I am proud to support and advance legislation that will strengthen and expand economic opportunities for all Americans,” said Inhofe. “We must remember that government is intended to help advance communities, but too often small businesses struggle to grow because of red tape and regulations. I thank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for this award and look forward to continuing my representation of the American people and this nation’s economic needs.”
Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber added, “In the face of high-stakes politics and difficult choices, Sen. Inhofe provided America’s job creators with a strong voice in Congress. This award recognizes Sen. Inhofe for consistently demonstrating his support for pro-growth policies.”
