WASHINGTON, D.C. – In honor of the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Army Field Artillery School at Ft. Sill in Lawton, Okla., U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), co-chair of the Senate Army Caucus and a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), recently introduced S. Res. 186, a resolution honoring the Artillery School’s century of service. The resolution passed the U.S. Senate last night by unanimous consent.
“On the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Army Field Artillery School at Ft. Sill, I am proud of the tradition that continues to shape the lives of our nation’s soldiers,” said Inhofe. “Over the last century, the artillery school has proven effective and imperative. It is programs like this that have greatly assisted our nation’s troops to successfully protect our country and our allies. On this historic day, we celebrate the Artillery School, Ft. Sill, and the supporting Lawton community.”
