Senators Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) today applauded the Senate Judiciary Committee advancement of Kerry Pettingill to serve as United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Pettingill’s nomination was reported favorably by voice vote today in the Judiciary Committee and will now move to the full Senate for a confirmation vote.
“I am pleased the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the nomination of Kerry Lee Pettingill today,” said Inhofe. “With Kerry’s long experience in Oklahoma law enforcement and his position as Director of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security, I know he is well-qualified and look forward to seeing him serve as our United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma."
“I am glad to see Kerry Pettingill’s nomination pass out of the Judiciary Committee today, and I anticipate his swift confirmation by the full Senate,” said Lankford. “Kerry is well-qualified and will serve Oklahoma and our nation well. I encourage my colleagues to support his nomination in the days ahead.”
Inhofe and Lankford praised President Trump’s intent to nominate Pettingill on July 1, 2019.
