Senators Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) today applauded the Senate Judiciary Committee advancement of Jodi Dishman to serve as U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma. Dishman’s nomination was reported favorably out of the Judiciary Committee and will now move to the full Senate for a confirmation vote.
“Jodi has proven herself as an exemplary attorney and I am glad to see her nomination reported favorably out of committee today,” Inhofe said. “Jodi not only stood out at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Law Review and receiving the ‘Most Outstanding Graduate Award,’ but she went on to be listed as one of the ‘Best Lawyers in America.’ During her extensive career handling complex judicial cases, Jodi stood out as a top-notch lawyer and I am looking forward to her swift confirmation.”
“Jodi Dishman is a reputable, well-qualified attorney, and I am confident she will continue to serve with excellence in her new capacity on the federal bench as a district court judge for the Western District of Oklahoma,” said Lankford. “I anticipate her swift confirmation in the days ahead in the full Senate.”
Inhofe praised President Trump’s intent to nominate Ms. Dishman in August and reaffirmed his support by submitting a statement for the record ahead of her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in September.
