Washington—U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), today released a statement following his meeting with Heather Wilson, President Trump’s nominee for secretary of the Air Force.
“Heather Wilson, an Air Force Academy Rhodes Scholar, has dedicated her life to strengthening and improving our military,” Inhofe said. “After spending seven years serving our country in the European Command, Dr. Wilson represented New Mexico in the U.S. House of Representatives for more than ten years. She worked consistently to improve Air Force readiness and prevent reductions in military spending. Heather understands exactly what it will take to rebuild and modernize our aging Air Force and I fully support her nomination.”
