U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) met with members of the McAlester community yesterday as part of their annual visit to Washington. They discussed current legislative priorities and national defense.
“The McAlester Stampede always proves to be valuable to both McAlester leaders and the Oklahoma congressional delegation,” said Inhofe. “I was pleased to meet with members of the McAlester community and discuss the president’s work, veterans and national defense. Their timely visit to Washington came as the House and Senate are conferencing the FY18 National Defense Authorization Act, key legislation that works to rebuild readiness and supports our military communities like McAlester. Their dedicated and trustworthy workforce has provided our service men and women with necessary resources for over 60 years and will continue to leave a lasting impact in U.S. defense operations.”
