U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the Environmental and Public Works Committee and member of the Senate Small Business Committee, applauded the announcement that Oklahoma was awarded a U.S. Department of Energy award of over $230,000. Funded through DOE’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), this selection is for Phase I research and development.
“I am extremely pleased the Department of Energy has recognized Ardmore-based Amethyst Research, Inc., with one of this year’s Phase I SBIR grants,” Sen. Inhofe said. “DOE support will allow this Oklahoma business to explore the feasibility of developing their technology to monitor subsurface soil gases. Congratulations to Amethyst Research, Inc., for being recognized for their work in biological and environmental research and innovation to help us better understand our world.”
