WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) today made the following statement praising Oklahoma-based power company OG&E Energy Corp. for their recent announcement of plans to expand the company’s wind power production:
“I congratulate OG&E Energy Corporation’s announced plans to quadruple the company’s wind power production over the next four years to a capacity of 770 megawatts.  As Chairman and now Ranking Member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, I have long worked toward legislative solutions to encourage the development and production of energy from a variety of sources including oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewable sources. Western Oklahoma has an abundance of usable wind and OG&E deserves praise for their plans to expand their energy output by taking advantage of this renewable energy source.”
