U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, praised the Senate’s confirmation of Bill Wehrum to serve as EPA Assistant Administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation:
“There is no one more qualified to lead the Office of Air and Radiation than Bill Wehrum. As a former EPA employee, he will serve the agency and the American people with integrity and unparalleled expertise. I appreciate his commitment to improving air quality through workable rules that do not have an adverse impact on our economy.
“Until today, the EPA had only one person in a Senate confirmed position—Administrator Pruitt. The Senate should confirm the other qualified EPA nominees to support Administrator Pruitt’s efforts to return the EPA to its statutory authority.”
