INHOFE STATEMENT ON AIR FORCE RESIGNATIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today made the following statement after learning of the resignations of Secretary of the Air Force Michael W. Wynn and Air Force Chief of Staff General T. Michael Moseley.

“Secretary Wynn has led a distinguished career  in public service as the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisitions, Technology, and Logistics, and most recently Secretary of the Air Force.

General Moseley has a long history of experience that stretches from Asia, to Operation Iraqi Freedom, to Washington, D.C. Rarely do we meet someone in the line of duty who ends up being a close friend.  General Moseley is such a person.  I am saddened by his resignation.

“They have redefined the Air Force to meet future challenges and always given top priority to the morale and welfare of our Airmen and their families.  I am grateful for their service and wish them and their families the very best in all their future endeavors.”
