Inhofe Statement on Chairman Paul Kagame

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee made the following statement after Paul Kagame, president of Rwanda, became the chairman of the African Union during the 30th African Union Summit:

“I congratulate my good friend, President Paul Kagame, for becoming Chairman of the African Union. President Kagame’s bold vision has transformed Rwanda, and as chairman of the African Union, President Kagame can bring his results-oriented leadership to all of Africa.

“After the positive meeting between President Trump and Chairman Kagame on Friday, I look forward to working with our partners in Africa on improving trade, economic development and security.”
