Inhofe Statement on Continuing Resolution

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) made the following statement after Congress passed a continuing resolution to fund the government through November 21, 2019:

“The Pentagon started the fiscal year under at least a three-month CR nine of the last 10 years,” Inhofe said. “However, it has never operated under a CR for a full year. When Congress continues to choose putting a band aid on the situation rather than finding a long-term solution, it is our troops who suffer. Although I am glad we have avoided a shutdown, this temporary fix was completely avoidable. We need legislation that provides certainty and long-term funding for our military, and we need to make that a reality in the coming weeks.”
