Inhofe Statement on Gary Ridley Retirement

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the U.S. Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, today congratulated Oklahoma Transportation Secretary Gary Ridley on his retirement.

Mike Patterson has been named by Gov. Fallin to succeed Ridley pending state Senate confirmation.

“I want to extend my most sincere congratulations to Gary Ridley on his retirement,” Inhofe said. “Gary has been a close partner in efforts to improve infrastructure across the state of Oklahoma and the nation for years. So many of the Oklahoma transportation victories I have led the charge on in Washington are due to Gary’s hard work and deep understanding of how to make roads and bridges safer. His expertise has been essential to not only me, but to other Congressional transportation leaders and U.S. Department of Transportation officials. I thank Gary for his friendship over the years and wish him nothing but the best in retirement, he’s earned it.”
