U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) voted against the nomination of Michael Regan to be Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Regan’s nomination was voted out of committee today.
“The Obama-era EPA made a slew of terrible choices for our country that cost Oklahomans jobs and needlessly raised costs on families and businesses with their burdensome regulations,” Inhofe said. “While I have great respect for Secretary Regan, I cannot in good conscience vote to confirm him to lead the EPA as he will be tasked with carrying on many failed Obama-era policies. During the last four years, we made great progress on cutting unnecessary regulations and streamlining the environmental permitting process. We should continue that, and not reverse the progress we have made.”
