WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), issued the following statement after University of Oklahoma President David Boren announced his retirement today:
“My good friend David Boren has been a dedicated public servant to the citizens of Oklahoma for decades. He and I entered the state legislature on the same day and even shared a desk for a time. I then had the honor of filling his seat in the US Senate in 1994. Since that time he has led the University of Oklahoma with distinction. I wish my friend all the best for his retirement at the end of the academic year."
