Inhofe Statement on Release of Mueller Report

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) made the following statement after the Mueller report was released to Congress:

“The only thing in the release of today’s Mueller report is a lot of nothing: no collusion, no obstruction, no executive privilege asserted. For over two years, the media and Democrats recklessly insisted that the president and his campaign colluded with Russia without any evidence. Yet, despite the release of the report, Democrats are still not satisfied—demanding more and more documents and testimony in an effort to smear the president and Attorney General Barr with their partisan accusations. However, the Mueller report did remind us of Russia’s clear and persistent efforts to disrupt our democratic process—efforts that have continued because of the Democrats’ shortsighted partisanship. Their constant fixation on the 2016 campaign and their attacks on our institutions continues Russia’s effort to sow discord and distrust. Now that the report has been released they need to put aside their grudge against the president and work on behalf of American families.”
