“I always value the people in my home state who work hard to ensure the best for our citizens,“ Inhofe said. “I enjoyed visiting with the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce and am pleased they continue to make the trip out to Washington every year so we can continue to discuss the needs of Lawton, Fort Sill and Oklahoma. We had a great conversation about a number of topics, including our work to rebuild the readiness and modernization of our military, invest in local infrastructure and reform our broken immigration system, including building the wall.

“I was proud to talk about our work to ensure the advancement of the Army’s top modernization priorities in the upcoming fiscal year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act that will be located right at Fort Sill. Fort Sill is a critical asset to the U.S. Army and Lawton’s unparalleled community support of the base does not go unnoticed. Thank you to Secretary Esper and General Milley for attending the Lawton-Fort Sill Chamber Breakfast yesterday. The community and I greatly appreciate your advocacy of this outstanding group.”
