U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) met with members of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau this week in Washington. They discussed a number of issues including the crisis at the border, success under the direction of President Trump and Inhofe’s work to include key provisions in the 2018 Farm Bill to support Oklahoma’s farmers and ranchers.

“The Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s annual trip to Washington is one I look forward to every year,” Inhofe said. “I always value our discussion, and this year was no different. We discussed the joint efforts to address serious problems at the border, rollback harmful regulations and rebuild our military.
“We also discussed the 2018 Farm Bill, which I was proud to relay includes my provisions that will enable farmers to graze on CRP lands after a wildfire, help young Americans begin careers in farming and make it easier for Oklahomans to repair fence lines damaged in disasters like wildfires. At a time when overall farm income has dropped in half since 2014, the 2018 Farm Bill will provide certainty for farm country. It will give Oklahoma farmers and ranchers, and the rural communities they support, the confidence to continue to grow the produce and raise the food needed to feed our nation and the world.”
