U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) met with members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce yesterday in Washington. They discussed current legislative priorities, specifically infrastructure and the Dodd-Frank rollback.
“I thank the Tulsa Regional Chamber for visiting the delegation in Washington, D.C.,” said Inhofe. “I enjoyed our talk about the President’s success at growing the economy through deregulation and the work we are doing to improve infrastructure for Oklahomans, like deepening our inland waterways. I was particularly pleased to talk with them about tax reform, Dodd-Frank rollback, FAA reauthorization and the upcoming consideration of the National Defense Authorization Act.
“As Tulsa mayor, I felt the frustration of having to wait on bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. for every decision. As a builder and a developer, I learned how important cutting red tape and paving the way for infrastructure really is. The people of Tulsa understand this too and have been an essential part of growing jobs, talent and opportunity in northeast Oklahoma.”
