U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) met with members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce this week in Washington. They discussed current legislative priorities, specifically infrastructure investment and Inhofe’s ongoing work to modernize and repair the Tulsa-West Tulsa levee system.
“Very thankful to visit with the Tulsa Regional Chamber this week,” said Inhofe. “We discussed our joint efforts to ensure Tulsans are getting the help they need to recover after the recent flooding and the next steps in repairing and upgrading the levees. President Trump has declared a major federal disaster declaration for Tulsa county, which will provide access to important federal resources for Oklahomans.
“As a resident of Tulsa myself, I am proud to have worked with the Tulsa Regional Chamber consistently over the years to promote economic investment and growth in the Tulsa community. The chamber has been a key player in the success the city has seen and will be a driving force of continued innovation for the future.”
