U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today praised the official establishment of the United States Space Command.
“I applaud President Trump for standing up United States Space Command as a Unified Combatant Command today,” Inhofe said. “This is an important step to support the space warfighting domain and ensures our strategic competitors, Russia and China, realize we are serious about implementing our National Defense Strategy. The next step is establishing the United States Space Force, which we are working on as part of the final National Defense Authorization Act.”
