U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, praised the Air Force’s announcement that Tinker Air Force Base has been selected for the B-21 sustainment. Having the B-21 sustainment activities at Tinker Air Force Base will guarantee the mission of Tinker for years to come and is expected to result in additional investments in Tinker’s infrastructure and personnel.
“Tinker has proven once again that innovation and experience— plus a supportive military community—pays dividends,” Inhofe said. “Having the B-21 sustainment at Tinker Air Force Base puts Oklahoma at the forefront of the next generation of military aircraft and solidifies Tinker’s rightful place as the nation’s premier air logistics facility. This is an honor for Oklahoma and a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our Airmen.”
Inhofe released a video message praising the announcement. It can be viewed and downloaded for media use here.
